To blog or not to blog. With one week left of work, I am starting to feel inspired. I will be venturing off with my man for the next 3 months. Just turning off the routine to experience something that I am sure will be absolutely unreal at times.
We will be heading first to a familiar place, Bangkok. It's hot, sweaty, and smelly but oozes with fond memories. It will be our base camp where we will launch off to different spots with the first being the beach! I can't wait for the simplicity of waking, eating, snorkeling, and dirt biking. From Thailand, we will be heading to India, a total unknown! Everyone who goes to India comes back feeling slightly different so I am keen and a bit freaked out to find out. A month or so later, we will be back in Bangkok then off to Indonesia. The trip will end in my motherland, China. I have not been to Hong Kong since I was six. My impressions of HK are based on pictures of me and a few second cousins. It will be amazing to experience the culture at this time in my life.
Most importantly, I see this trip as an opportunity to be present. It will be a heightened way to sense and love every moment for what it is.
I will miss everyone so it would so cool to have you follow along the way. By the way, I was deeply moved by the number of people that showed up for our 'bon voyage' party and for those who expressed their well wishes. I am grateful to have you all in my life.
I can't promise that my blog will be well written all the time but I can guarantee some interesting ups and downs.
